Improve facilities for creating maps in languages other than English
Example from Inger Jansson:
"It would be so much easier & faster for me if I could do my maps in swedish, if I want to use the awesome summarize function I must write the map in english."
Idea:
Rather than full foreign-language versions (highly resource intensive)
1. Allow re-wording of heading. E.g. "Idea" -> "Idé", etc. This would also be useful for users who want to vary the terminology.
2. Similarly, allow key phrases to be replaced in the Decision Summarize function.
3. Provide a way for users to share their "translation packs".

Fix bug in building panel
When one of the building panel sections is opened and there isn't enough vertical room for it, the top part disappears underneath the 'problem-solving' header.

Move scratchpad to the building panel
This is based on the idea that all building operations are on the left and output operations are on the right.

It seems that we are unable to do this for Monday’s release.
For now I have hidden Scratchpad and renamed ‘Summary’ to ‘Summarize’, making the tabs on the right panel read nicely. — Dan

Enable user to stretch a link to lay out a map differently
Part of the beauty of bCisive is that it lays out the map for you, but there are times that this makes it difficult to see, since it is too horizontal. There are times when it would make sense for presentation purposes to override the layout and move a branch to some whitespace.

Should be able to exit slide show
At the moment when you press "from beginning" in "slide show" you begin a preview of the show. You should really be able to right click while in this screen in order to have the option to end show. At the moment you can get stuck in the middle of a show and not be able to get out of it if it is a long show.
Note this right click option should also have "previous slide".

Output on multiple pages
In my work with clients I often construct large arguments. These are often best (re)viewed when posted as large pieces of paper on a wall. As I rarely have access to a printer that prints really big peces of paper (e.g. ISO A0 or US E), I usually achieve this by printing on multiple sheets and taping them together. As bCisive has no feature for printing on multiple pages, I currently have to improvise by exporting a bCisive image, importing this into something that supports flexible page tiling (e.g. Visio, MindManager) and then printing it. I'd much appreciate a better… more

right click to change entity
It used to be in bCisive you could right-click on an entity to change it, e.g. from a pro to a con, etc. This functionality was useful since it allowed you to quickly enter and categorize ideas and discussion points. Now you have to drag the appropriate identity from the building panel and drop it onto the box. This has two drawbacks:
1) it takes longer and means more hand-eye coordinated movement with the mouse
2) when you are using bCisive with a group, and projecting the discussion map using a projector, you have to take up valuable screen space… more3 votes -
Image export improvement
The export function to images seems to produce relatively low quality resolution (I have tried all the different formats). Is it possible to improve the resolution of image exports?

Change the logo to the gold one
What is going on with the logo it appears to be different in different sections of the program. I suggest the gold one with the black writing. To me it appears the most professional and unique. Oh and when you have the full word either have a background of the gold or make the 'b' the same gold colour distribution as the one in the logo.

Possible bug - double instance of bCisive
This may be due to working with Vista/VMware on a Mac, but when I tried opening a new bCisive file, I got an entirely separate instance of bCisive's UI. I'll send an email to you guys showing what it looks like.

Enhance the enter/insert feature
I had the idea of using ctrl enter, shift enter, alt enter as well as ctrl insert, shift insert and alt insert to create children and neighbors. The idea being that you could have more control over which types of children and neighbors you created. You could also use this feature to control and teach people which children and neighbors "should" stem from a particular box.

Sounds like a nice feature for more advanced users, if coupled with appropriate instruction.

Export to ppt. doesn't work (Vista on Mac)
I just tried it and nothing happens. I also tried Copy as Image after selecting the top of a branch, and nothing happened. Are these simply disabled for this pre-release version?

Nothing is deliberately disabled at this time (to my knowledge). — Dan

Fix strange workspace behavior bug
When adding a series of boxes using the Enter key, the workspace sometimes jumps in an unexpected direction, often no longer showing the newly-added boxes. The user must then hunt around to find the boxes on the workspace.

Better formatting for text outline in Export to ppt.
All of the text is the same size. We might improve readability by adhering to the default ppt. mechanism for formatting unstructured text - PowerPoint's use of font size, bullet type, and indentation helps the reader clearly navigate from main ideas to sub ideas.
